Mundane Magic

Not every spell needs to be big or include lots of ingredients. A lot of witches like to make everyday takes a little more magical through very simple means. We call this mundane magic as its normal, boring, everyday tasks that we've added a magical boost too! This is a perfect way of practising if you find you cannot openly practise your spirituality. Here are a few examples of mundane magic:

This one you can do with any hot drink: tea, coffee, hot chocolate. Once you've made your drink, with your hand flat, palm down, move your hand clockwise following the rim of the cup. As you do this say once "I am the tool, you are the fire, fill this cup with all I desire." Then with your spoon, stir the drink clockwise once.
Drinking herbal tea depending on how you're feeling. Herbal teas and remedies are brilliant to sort out minor illnesses and injuries e.g. honey and lemon tea is good for a sore throat, chamomile helps you to sleep, peppermint or lemon and ginger tea can help with indigestion Picking what you drink to cure a minor inconveniences is still a valid for of magic, especially as we add specific intent to our drink when making it. It creates a new experience when you think about what you're drinking and what it can do for you.
Visualisation. Visualisation is so powerful and can be used in a number of different ways and applied to almost anything! If I'm feeling a little drained or poorly, I like to do a little shower spell for healing that includes visualisation. I first imagine, whilst stood in the shower that I'm under a waterfall. I can feel the warm heat of the sun on me and hear and see nature all around me, whilst still thinking of this I say "water spirits please cleanse, consecrate and empower my body, mind and spirit in the name of healing". I then visualise all the negative energy within my body being washed down the drain and away from me leaving just positive energy. I do this until I feel ready to move on. Once out I repeat the same chant switching water spirits to air spirits. There are other ways visualisation helps, such as being able to control your breathing by imagining you're blowing up a balloon (this helps especially if you have panic attacks). Or if it's a windy day and you feel you need a little cleansing, you can visualise, as the wind blows through you, that it's cleansing you.
Picking out jewellery. Maybe you have a few necklaces or rings or even bracelets with crystals in them. Just taking a moment to trust your gut and ask yourself what you may need for the day, allowing the sensation to pick out your jewellery for you can give you a boost.
Sending out blessings and love and light every morning t the world makes room for you to be paid back in positive ways!
And lastly, pay attention when you stir things. If you want to increase or add something into your life then stir clockwise. If you want to banish or remove/decrease something from your life then stir anti-clockwise.
